Definition of gram molecular mass of substance:

The mass of one mole of a substance equal to the molecular mass in grams is known as the gram molecular mass of the substance.

Example: Gram molecular mass of oxygen:

One mole of oxygen molecule (O2) is numerically equal to the molecular mass of oxygen (32u) in grams. Thus,

1 mole O2 =32g O2

Thus, gram molecular mass of oxygen molecule is = 32g.
