Magnification produced by a spherical mirror is given by the ratio of the size of an image and the size of an object.
magnification=size of an image/size of an object
m=h'/h = -v/u
NOTE: m is -ve for the real image but +ve for the virtual image
Hence, magnification for the convex mirror is always +ve while for a concave mirror it depends upon the nature of the image.
Magnification is the ratio of image-size to the object-size. Since plane-mirror produces an erect image of the same size as of the object, its magnification will be equal to +1.
