Mass:

The quantity of matter contained in a body is called mass.

  1. S.I unit of mass is Kilogram it is represented. as Kg.
  2. C.G.S unit of mass is Gram it is represented as g.
  3. F.P.S unit of mass is Pound it is represented as lb.

Relation between S.I. unit, C.G.S. unit and F.P.S unit of mass:

1 Kilogram = 1000 grams.

1 gram =11000Kg.

1 pound = 0.453592 kilograms.

1 pound = 453.59 grams.

1 kilogram = 2.20462 pounds.
