Solution

Matter — Anything is that, has the mass, occupies space, and assume by sensory organs to be considered a matter

  • Generally, matters are three types, in spec
  • solid — A substance that has fixed volume, shape & size due to high intermolecular force
  • Liquid — A substance that has fixed volume, but not fixed shape & size due to moderate inter-molecular force
  • Gas — A substance that has no fixed volume, shape & size due to low inter-molecular force
  • Plasma — it is made up of free electrons, for example shining of a star
  • Bose-Einstein condensate — Any substance gets - 272.150C then it reached that stage where volume is almost is zero
  • some materials can exist in all three states
  • For example — pen, pencil, copies, book, etc

Nature of matter — It is determined by its composition

  • The matter is made up of very small tiny particles which can exist independently
  • Particles of matter have spaces between them
  • Particles of matter are continuously moving
  • Particles of matter attract each other
  • Matter can change state from one form to another
