Melting Point: It is the temperature where a solid phase gets converted into the liquid phase. At this point, solid and liquid phases are in equilibrium with each other.

For example, The melting point of ice is 0°C i.e., ice melts into water. This is also the freezing point of water where water gets converted into ice. Therefore, ice and water are in equilibrium with each other.
