Question

Define Mid-point theorem.

Open in App
Solution

Mid point theorem is mainly related to triangles. It states that if the mid points of any two sides of a triangle are joined, then the line joining mid points is parallel to third side and is equal to half of third side. Converse of this is, if a parallel line drawn from mid points of a side to any other side, it will bisect the third side and will be equal to half the side to which it is parallel.
