Solution

A mixture is a material system made up of two or more different substances which are mixed but are not combined chemically. A mixture refers to the physical combination of two or more pure substances.
Mixtures are classified into two types depending on how the components are distributed.

1. Homogeneous mixtures: The mixtures in which the components are uniformly distributed and so they are indistinguishable are called homogeneous mixtures.
Example: Lemonade, coffee, etc.

2. Heterogeneous mixtures: The mixtures in which the components are not uniformly distributed and so they are distinguishable are called heterogeneous mixtures.
Example: Burger, Pizza, etc.
