Solution

Molecules: Matter is made of very small particles which can exist independently. These particles are commonly known as molecules.

These particles are never at rest and they are moving continuously. These molecules are said to possess kinetic energy.

Anything that occupies space and has mass is called matter.

Matter exists in three states:

Solid – The particles are tightly packed.

Liquid - The particles are loosely packed.

Gas - The particles are very far away from each other.
