  1. Moment of force- It is the rotational effect of a force, which is equal to the force multiplied by the perpendicular distance between a pivot and the force.
  2. The moment of a force is related to the size of the force and the size of the perpendicular distance between the force and pivot.
  3. The larger the perpendicular distance the larger the turning effect (moment).
  4. Example- Pushing a door to open.
