Momentum can be defined as the vector quantity which involves the product of the mass and the velocity of an object.
It is represented as p = mv

a) The SI unit is kilogram meter per second or kg m/s.

b) Firstly the velocity will be calculated using third equation of motion.
Initial velocity, u =0 because it is free fall condition
V= to be calculated
Height h = 5m
According third equation of motion
v2-u2=2asv2-0= 2x10x5v2=100m/s
v= 10m/s
Now, momentum p= m v
p=10x 10
p=100Kgm /s
