A monohybrid cross is a mating between two organisms with different variations at one genetic chromosome of interest. It is a genetic mix between two individuals who have homozygous genotypes, or genotypes that have completely dominant or completely recessive alleles, which results in opposite phenotypes for a certain genetic trait.
