Define parasite. Give two examples.

Parasitism is the association between a parasite and host. The parasite depends on host for food, were host doesn’t receive any benefit.

1. There are two types of parasites.
2. Ectoparasites- are those parasites which are present outside the host body.
3. Endoparasites – are those parasites which are present inside the host body.
4. Example – Cuscuta , Orobanche are plant parasites.
5. Leech is an animal parasite.
