Dear student,

Particulate pollutants are nothing but very very small pieces of solids or liquids which cause the environmental pollution. The different types of particle that are suspended in the air are dust, pollen, soot, smoke, and liquid droplets. Small living organisms such as fungi or bacteria are known as viable particles such as moulds. The non-viable particles include Smoke, dust, mist which are formed during the combustion of organic matter.
