Allergies that are not linked to any particular season and can occur at any point of time of the year are called perennial allergies.
Year-round allergies result from indoor exposure to airborne substances such as house dust that are present throughout the year.
Examples: Allergy to dust, insect bites, allergy to food substances, etc.
When the allergy occurs at a particular time of the year, it is called a seasonal allergy. Hay fever occurs during the spring season and is a seasonal allergy.
