Photophosphorylation is the process of formation of the ATP molecule from ADP and inorganic phosphate by using the energy obtained from the absorption of sun-light during the photosynthesis in plants.
Non-cyclic photophosphorylation involves the flow of electron from PS-II after the absorption of sunlight by the chlorophyll and then flow of this electron across the chain of various electron receptors to the PS-I. In the process of electron transport, the proton motive force is generated that is used of formation of the ATP from ADP and inorganic phosphate.
