Phototropism is defined as the orientation of the plant or other photosynthesizing organisms in response to light.
Phototropism is a phenomenon by which a plant can maximize its exposure to sunlight because plants need sunlight to make food
Phototropism is of two types-
Positive phototropism- Response of plant towards the light source. Example include sunflower.
Negative phototropism- Plant grows opposite to the light source. Example include Arabidopsis inflorescence.
