  • Phototropism is a phenomenon by which a plant can maximize its exposure to sunlight because plants need sunlight to make food
  • Phototropism is of two types-
  1. Positive phototropism- Response of plant towards the light source. Example include sunflower.
  2. Negative phototropism- Plant grows opposite to the light source. Example include Arabidopsis inflorescence.
