Define population growth and write the problems created due to population growth.

The situation where the population exceeds productive capacity is known as population explosion. In nature, the number of resources is limited hence if the population increases at the present rate and increasing beyond the limit, they (resources) would get exhausted. The following problems may be arising from population explosions:
(1) It causes the shortage of useful things of life.
(2) Population explosion causing the shortage of natural resources like food materials, petroleum and forests because of the excessive use of these substances.
(3) It is causing environmental pollution.
(4) It has caused the socio-economic problem such as hunger, malnutrition, poverty, unemployment, lack of space, food and educational facility.
