Define random experiment.
If an experiment, when repeated under identical conditions, does not produce the same outcome every time but if the outcome produced is out of one of the several possibilities, then it is known as a random experiment or probabilistic experiment.
Example: Tossing a fair coin is a random experiment because if we toss a coin either a head or tail will come up. But if we toss a coin again and again, then the outcome each time will not be the same. Here, head and tail are called outcomes.
