Define rapid combustion
Combustion: Combustion is a chemical process in which substances combine with oxygen in the air, producing heat and light.
Combustion is mainly of four types - explosion, spontaneous, rapid, and slow.
Rapid combustion: It is a process in which a large amount of heat and light is released in a very short span of time. The substances which undergo rapid combustion have lower ignition temperatures.
For Example:
1)when we bring a matchstick near the gas stove it rapidly catches fire.
2)The burning of kerosene oil in a kerosene stove.
3) Combustion of LPG gas and petrol.
Similarly, as soon as we strike the matchstick against the matchbox it rapidly catches fire.
