Solution:

Regionalism means loving and being excessively proud of one’s region but at the same time hating and looking down upon people coming from other regions.

The main cause of Regionalism is the economic imbalance. In post-independence India, not all states developed equally. The states which developed started developing superiority complex and refused to share their benefits with the developing states. And the developing states also started despising the developed states. This destroyed the social unity of India.
