The resistance R=VI where V=(100±5)V and I=(10±/.2) find the relative error in R.

Relative Error is a measure of the uncertainty of measurement compared to the size of the measurement. It's used to put error into perspective. For example, an error of 1 kg would be a lot if the total weight is 10 kg, but insignificant if the weight was 5 quintal.
