Solution

Scattering of light is a phenomenon by which a beam of light is redirected in many directions after interacting with a particle of matter.

Example: When the sunlight strikes the particles in our atmosphere, it redirects in many directions. The blue light is scattered more than red light causing the sky be blue.

Dispersion: The process of splitting of white light into seven colours called spectrum after passing it through a prism is called dispersion of light.
