  1. A secondary cell wall is an additional layer of cell wall formed in a mature cell and is made up of cellulose, hemicellulose, and lignin.
  2. It is formed after the plant cell has attained a certain amount of growth in the later stage.
  3. It is present towards the inner surface of the primary cell wall and gives additional support and strength to the plant cell.
