The solubility of a solute in a particular solvent at a given temperature is equivalent to the maximum number of grams of the solute necessary to saturate 100g of that solvent at that temperature.
A substance that has negligible solubility is called an insoluble substance.
A substance that has high solubility is called a soluble substance.
