Solution

  1. Solution: It is a mixture of two or more components that is homogenous. All of the solutions are homogenous.
  2. The state in which two or more components are uniformly contained in a mixture is referred to as "homogeneous."
  3. In a solution, the component present in a lesser amount by weight is called the solute and the component present in a larger amount by weight is called the solvent.
  4. Binary solution: A solution contains two components. a binary solution is, for example, a salt solution containing common salt in water.

Example of solution:

Examples of solutions are the salt solution, sugar solution, vinegar, alloys, air, seawater, copper sulfate solution, the mixture of alcohol and water, the mixture of petrol and oil, soft drinks, etc.
