Define sublimation. How is sublimation different from melting? Give few examples of substances that undergo sublimation.

Sublimation is a process by which a solid substance directly changes into it's vapour state without undergoing the intermediate liquid state.
In melting, a substance converts from solid state to liquid state which is different from sublimation process.

Examples of substances that undergo sublimation: camphor, dry ice, ammonium chloride, iodine, etc.
