Supersaturated solution-

• If a solution that holds more solute than the saturated solution at a given temperature is known as a supersaturated solution.
• For this a saturated solution is heated to higher temperature, in order to dissolve more solute in it.
• Example- Solution of sugar syrup, honey etc.
