Solution

Dear Student,. The hotness and coldness of a substance can be measured using a physical quantity known as temperature. Temperature can be measured using a thermometer. The hotness and coldness can detect by the transfer of energy . If heat transfer from one body to another body kept in contact then we can say that the body from which net heat flow is at higher temperature. While other body the lower temp. If body are the thermal equilibrium i.e. no net heat flow then we stay that the temperature of both the body is same. Regards
