Define temperature stress and temperature strain

Dear Student,
Objects expand on rise in temperature and shrinks on decreasing temperature. This results in change of size. If the size of object is constrained then there develops stress called temperature stress,
The relative change in size is called strain. it is given by αΔT, βΔT or γΔT.
