Define the crops and explain it types with help of example?

Dear student,

The crop is a plant grown or cultivated on a large scale.

The crops are primarily classified into two types-

1. Kharif Crops- These crops are grown during the monsoon season, from June to September. Hence, these crops are also known as monsoon crops. Ex- Paddy, maize, cotton, soya bean, groundnut, etc.
2. Rabi Crops- These crops are grown during the winter season from October to March. Ex- Pea, wheat, mustard, gram, etc.

Zaid crops-

There is also a small season between the Kharif and Rabi season from March to July, called Zaid. Zaid crops such as pumpkin, cucumber, etc. are grown during this season.
