Define the ethnic composition of India?

There is nothing called the ethnic composition of India as the National census of India does not recognise ethnic groups within India. We can define other demographic compositions in India like the liguistic composition. 75% of Indians speak Indo-Aryan languages. 20% speak Dravidian languages and 5% speak other languages.
