Phenotype: It is the physical expression of the trait (character) ,e.g. tall pea plant.
Homozygous: When two alleles of a character are similar ( identical) in diploid condition, they are called as homozygous.
Gene: A gene may be defined as the unit of inheritance which controls the expression of a character cooperation with its allele, other than genes and environment.
Allele: Alleles are the alternative forms of gene which occupy the same position on a pair of homologous chromosome and express the same characteristic but in two different ways.
