  • Acid can be classified as dilute or concentrated depending on the concentration of the hydrogen ions in it.

Dilute acid

  • A dilute acid is one in which the water's concentration mixed in the acid is greater than the acid's concentration itself.
  • With the addition of water, a concentrated acid can be diluted. This reaction is exothermic.
