Define the following and give two examples in each case : (a) a normal salt, (b) an acid salt, (c) a mixed salt.

A) Normal Slat is formed by the complete replacement of the acidic by a basic radical in a reaction.
Ex.- NaCl,KNO3,KCl, etc


B)An acidic salt is a salt which is prepared by from a strong acid and a weak base. An example of such salt is NH4Cl


HCl+NH4OHNH4Cl+H2O


Ammonium hydroxide is a weak base, hydrochloric acid is a strong acid.


C) Mixed salt contains more than one acidic or basic radical.
Ex. - CuNaPO4,Ca(OCl)Cl, etc.
