Convection:
It is a mode of transfer of heat in a liquid or a gas by the movement of their constituent molecules from the hotter to the colder parts.
Convection takes place in liquids and gases only as their molecules are free to move.
For example, winds are the convection currents of air as warm air rise up and cold air descends downward.
