Fertilization:

1. Fertilization is a sexual reproduction process in plants that happens after pollination and germination.
2. The fusing of male gametes (pollen) and female gametes (ovum) to generate a diploid zygote is known as fertilization.
3. During fertilization male gametes are delivered into female reproductive organs by pollinators (honey bees, birds, bats, butterflies, flower beetles) which results seed formation in plants.
