(i) Karyokinesis: The division of nuclear material during cell division is called karyokinesis.
(ii) Cytokinesis: The division of cytoplasm after karyokinesis is termed as cytokinesis.
(iii) Chiasmata: Chiasmata are observable regions in the chromosomes wherein non-sister chromatids of homologous chromosomes cross over each other and genetic recombination takes place.
