(i) Parthenogenesis: Parthenogenesis is the process of reproduction in which a progeny is born without the fertilisation of ovum. This is the reason why this process is also known as virgin birth.
(ii) Asexual reproduction: The process of reproduction that involves only one parent and no gametes formation is called asexual reproduction.
(iii) Sexual reproduction: The reproduction that requires two parents and gametes formation is called sexual reproduction.
(iv) Dioceious: Species that have male and female gonads in different individuals are called dioceious.
(v) Monoceious: Species that have both the male and female gonads in the same individual are called monoceious (Hermaphroditic species).
(vi) Clone: Genetically identical organisms or cells are called clones.
