Infiltration: The process of seeping rainwater and water from other sources into the ground to form groundwater is called infiltration.
Infiltration refills the groundwater.
Aquifer: Rainwater and water from rivers, ponds seep through the soil and fill the gaps between particles of soil and rocks.
Below the water table, groundwater stored between layers of rocks is called an aquifer.
It is a source of freshwater.
Drip Irrigation: Drip irrigation is the process of supplying water to plants by making use of narrow tubings which deliver water directly to the base of the plant.
Drip irrigation is a more efficient way than sprinkling water as it saves a lot of water.
