a) Triploblastic : Three germ layers (mesoderm,ectoderm,endoderm) develop during embryonic development , e.g. phylum Platyhelminthes to Chordata.
(b) Coelomate : those animals having a body cavity called coelom with a complete lining derived from mesoderm ,e.g. Annelids to Chordates.
(c) Notochord : A cartilaginous flexible rod supporting the body in all stages of life and some adult chordate animal.
(d) Bilateral Symmetry : Body can be divided into identical right and left halves in only one plane, e.g. Annelida to Chordata.
