Define the following terms: Antihistamines and Antifertility Drugs

The drugs which interfere with the natural action of histamine by competing with histamine for binding the sites of receptor where histamine exerts its effect are called antihistamines. Eg: Seldane, Dimetane.

The drugs used to control the population (by family planning) are called antifertility drugs. Antifertility drugs are hormones (mixture of synthetic estrogen and progesterone derivatives). Examples include norethindrone and ethinyl estradiol.
