1. Equivalent conductivity:
It is defined as the conducting power of all the ions produced by dissolving one gram equivalent of an electrolyte in solution.

where, C= normality of the solution and κ= conductivity.
Also, it is the conductivity of the solution containing one gram equivalent of an electrolyte and placed between two large electrodes one centimeter apart.
2. Corrosion of metals:
The phenomenon of formation of metal oxide layer on the surface of an object due to oxidation by atmospheric water and oxygen is called Corrosion. For example, the rusting of iron, tarnishing of silver, development of green coating on copper and bronze.
