Flower:

  1. The flower is the blossom of the plant body which contains the male and female gametes.
  2. The important function of flower is to reproduce with the help fertilisation.
  3. In some plants, both the male and female reproductive parts are not present in the same flower.
  4. Some flowers have only male parts, while others have only female parts. Such flowers are called unisexual flowers.
  5. They are also called incomplete flowers and they reproduce through cross pollination.
  6. They are bright in colours to attract insects for pollination.
  7. Examples are cucumber and gourd.
