Universal recipient:

  1. The one who can receive blood of all types.
  2. The individual having blood group AB+ does not have antibodies A, B, or Rh in their blood.
  3. They can accept the red blood cells having any of the blood antigens
  4. The plasma of blood group AB does not have the antibodies A or B, so it can easily be transfused to any blood type.
  5. Hence it is called universal recipient.
