Habsburg Empire is a Austrian based dynasty which ruled many parts of central and western Europe from 13th to 20th century. It was an empire ruled by the Habsburg monarchs. The empire was a unified state composed of several other territories that were inside the ambit of Roman Empire as well as outside. The capital of the empire was stationed at Vienna, however for a brief duration 1583-1611 it was shifted to Prague. Between 1804-1867 the empire was united as the Austrian Empire and from 1867 to 1918 as the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
