Solution

Dear student,
An electric dipole is a negative and positive charge of same magnitude are separated by certain distance.
It can also be define as a measure of the separation of positive and negative electrical charges within a system
For eg ,two charges +q and -q separated by distance r represents a electric dipole whose magnitude is given as P (dipole) = qr.
. The SI units for electric dipole moment are coulomb-meter (C. · m); Another unit for electric dipole is the debye (D).
