Magnetic poles-

1. The ends of the magnet through which the invisible magnetic field lines enter or exit the magnet, are called magnetic poles.
2. A bar magnet has two magnetic poles and they are the north pole and the south pole.
3. Magnetic field lines are denser at the magnetic poles of the magnet in comparison to the middle of the magnet.
4. Hence, the magnetic field is strong at the ends of the magnet.
