1. Mobility of the charge carrier is defined as the drift velocity of the charge carrier per unit of the electric field. That is; Mobility= $\frac{Driftvelocity}{electricfield}$
2. It is denoted by $\mu$ and is given as $\mu =\frac{v_d}{E}$

SI unit of mobility:

Since,

Mobility($\mu$)= $\frac{Driftvelocity\left(v_d\right)}{Electricfield\left(E\right)}$

The SI unit of mobility= $\frac{SIunitofdriftvelocity}{SIunitofelectricfield}$

The SI unit of mobility= $\frac{m{s}^{-1}}{V{m}^{-1}}$

The SI unit of mobility= $m^2{V}^{-1}{s}^{-1}$
