Solution

In chemistry, large number of molecules having very small mass take part in chemical reaction. Both these numbers are difficult to remember. Hence a common unit is addressed account for these numbers. It is called as “mole”.

Mole is addressed in two ways one simply “one mole of substance” which simply indicate the 6.023x10 ^23 number of molecules of the substance.

The second one is “one gram mole of the substance” this represents the total mass of 6.023x10 ^ 23 molecules.

For example

One mole of oxygen = 6.023x10^ 23 molecules of oxygen

This is similar to

1 dozen = 12

1 dozen egg = 12 eggs

1 mole egg = 6.0 23* 10^ 23 eggs
