Define the term specific resistance and give its SI unit

Specific resistance is defined as the resistance offered per unit length and unit cross- sectional area when known amount of voltage is applied. It is mathematically given as ρ =RAL where, ρ is specific resistance, R is resistance, L is length of the material and A is cross- sectional area.
The SI unit of specific resistance is ohm meter.
